Emission trading in Finland
In Finland there is the Emissions Trading Act (311/2011) and related regulations. The Emissions Trading Act is applied to carbon dioxide emissions of fuel combustion installations with a rated thermal input of more than 20 MW and of the smaller combustion installations connected to the same district heating network.
The Energy Authority is the National Emissions Trading Authority in Finland. More information on the emission trading will be found from the website (www.energiavirasto.fi)
All analysis methods relating to emissions trading (calorific value, carbon content, bio-degradable carbon content in recycled fuels and the calculation of emission factor) are accredited.
